By creating an account or using the JK Scrap app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
JK Scrap lets you book a doorstep pickup for household and business scrap such as paper, plastic, metal, electronics and appliances. Our verified executives collect and weigh your scrap and pay you at the rates in force at the time of pickup.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You must give a valid mobile number and keep your details accurate. You are responsible for all activity on your account. We may verify your number with a one-time password (OTP).
Rates shown in the app are indicative and may change with market conditions, quality and quantity. The amount you see before pickup is only an estimate. The final amount is calculated after your scrap is weighed on a digital scale at your address, at the rate confirmed by the executive.
You can book a pickup for any available date and time slot. You may cancel a pickup free of charge before the executive is on the way. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may lead to limits on your account. We may reschedule a pickup because of weather, traffic or other operational reasons and will let you know.
A minimum order value of Rs. 100 applies. Payment is made in cash or by UPI / bank transfer straight after weighing, as chosen by you at booking. Please check the weight and the amount before the executive leaves.
You must not offer: • hazardous, explosive, flammable or radioactive material • medical or biomedical waste • weapons, ammunition or any item prohibited by law • stolen or unlawfully obtained goods • anything you do not have the right to sell We may refuse any item at our discretion.
Be present, or nominate someone, at the pickup address and keep the scrap ready and easy to reach. Share your pickup PIN only with our executive at the time of pickup. Treat our staff with respect. You confirm that you own the scrap you sell.
Our executives carry identification and a digital scale. Please do not hand over scrap to anyone who cannot show that they are assigned to your order. Report any problem through Help & support in the app.
To the extent permitted by law, JK Scrap is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays caused by events outside our control. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount payable for that order.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. You can delete your account at any time from Profile > Delete account.
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Jammu will have jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
